Fund for Adolescent Science Translation (FAST)
Seek Common Ground was selected to manage a $400,000 fund for the “Fund Adolescent Science Translation (FAST)” funders collaborative to support young leaders and organizations as a follow up to the January 2024 White House Youth Policy Summit. The FAST collaborative is a diverse group of investors with a shared goal: to reduce inequities and promote positive development for adolescents, using research as the catalyst for change. The collaborative includes The Annie E. Casey Foundation, The Bezos Family Foundation, The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, The Ford Foundation, The Hemera Foundation, The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Hopelab, Pivotal Ventures, The Raikes Foundation, Spring Point Partners, The Seattle Foundation and The Stuart Foundation. The Seek Common Ground team, working with youth created and executed a participatory process to distribute the funding to youth or intergenerationally led organizations who proposed follow up work to the Summit. A team of youth reviewers made selection decisions.
Throughout this project, Seek Common Ground is facilitating opportunities for youth to connect and build relationships with each other as a foundation for continued shared work beyond this project through Office Hours programming, a Slack workspace, and additional learning community opportunities.
