• Organizational Background: The Intercultural Development Research Association seeks equal educational opportunity for every child through strong public schools that prepare all students to access and succeed in college. IDRA strengthens and transforms public education by providing dynamic training; useful research, evaluation, and frameworks for action; timely policy analyses; and innovative materials and programs. Through SCG’s Community-led COVID-19 Recovery Action Accelerator in 2020, IDRA conducted a participatory action research project, designed and led by San Antonio public school students, to survey their peers and families on COVID-19 related concerns and expectations for supports from the school system and city.

  • Project: The Intercultural Development Research Association hired student researchers to lead participatory action research regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and hosted listening and learning sessions to collect recommendations from students and caregivers on how districts should use federal education relief funds.
