Mission: Against the backdrop of a global pandemic and the near complete disruption of in-person events and engagement, institutions and leaders are now more acutely aware than ever of the need for collaboration and community-responsive decision making and the tools to do so. We at Climb Higher understand that a whole new set of opportunities have emerged for growing both the reach and ease of access for community engagement efforts. Since the shutdown began in March of 2020, we have built upon our background as community organizers, educators, and facilitators to deepen our skills for bringing people together in a virtual space that promotes authentic dialogue, inclusion, and strategic action.
Project: CHC launched and facilitated an eight-week learning community called the Family-Centered Learning Network (FCLN). The FCLN consisted of four design teams of 27 total participants representing diverse communities across Colorado who were committed to deepening their work with their community in response to the challenges of learning in the time of COVID.
