• Organizational Background: College Now Greater Cleveland is committed to increasing the number of Cleveland students who are ready for, have access to, and persist in college. CNGC is focused on using a Design Thinking approach grounded in critical theory to develop a set of resource materials for families, educators, and adults in the community to support them in addressing SEL of themselves and students’ loss due to the traumatic impact of Covid-19.

• Project: Using a liberatory design thinking process, College Now Greater Cleveland gathered and incorporated critical feedback from caregivers across Cleveland to co-create with them a robust and trauma-responsive toolkit that can be used by students and families to navigate the options and processes associated with planning students’ educational journeys and post-secondary pathways.
